The Sarah, Ruby and Eileen showwww!

A surprise birthday cake, a princess cake and Andy Murray cake. This is what I got up to in the new year of 2013.
My Galway hooker friend turned 30 so myself and my good friend Helen took ourselves and a super chocolatey biscuit cake to the Wesht! Almost needed a saw to cut it but we managed in the end. Sarah was a happy lady(ho) and her brother Peter got in on the cake too!
Add a birthday and one indecisive almost 3 year old and that was my April! Waiting until the last minute to choose which Disney princess she HAD to have as her birthday cake. The cake shape was made but the barbie in question was still on the fence. She kept changing her mind. Finally, with a day to go, Snow White was chosen and I had to get to work, fast. Looking at her now, I can see she's slightly off centre but hey, that's a demanding 3 year old testing my patience and working under pressure. I can happily report that she was, for the first time in a while, quite speechless. A good cake? Thankfully yes. Phew! Who knows what age 4 will bring!!
An Andy Murray cake. It is what it is. A lemonilicious sponge cake covered in green fondant and green lemon flavoured buttercream. I'm not sure if it's noticeable that it's supposed to resemble a tennis court. There is netting but it's hard to notice in this photo. Sadly Andy did not favour or retween this for possibly his eldest fan( late 80's) but wimbledon retweeted as did many fans. Your loss Andy! The rest of the twitter world embraced my effort so thank you!
